My Crochet Journey So Far

I learned to crochet when I was 16. My Great Grandmother was living with us at the time. She was a prolific crocheter. I had broken up with a boyfriend and was moping around the house. My Grandmother couldn't stand it so she sat me down and taught me how to crochet. She taught me how to crochet the granny square and let me tell you that that was the HUGEST granny square afghan that anyone has ever made! I just kept going and going and going! I slowly branched out from making afghans to making sweaters and other things. I don't intend to post patterns because these are not my original designs. I just thought it would be fun to have some sort of record of what I have made and who it went to.

For Christmas 2015

HULK
THOR
CAPTAIN AMERICA
I thought all of these turned out great! Hulk is way larger than the others, but I think he is that way on purpose. I especially like Captain America, but really they all turned out good. I also made a Wonder Woman, but that was for a little girl for her birthday, these are for Christmas. This is the site that I got the patterns from. The author/creator had copyright issues and so she is offering these patterns for free. I snagged up all of them! http://crochet.craftgossip.com/mary-has-copyright-issues-with-disney-so-she-is-giving-away-these-patterns/2015/06/14/ She wrote excellent step by step instructions that are fairly easy to follow and there are pictures as well of each step.

I made 4 pair of these boot slippers for Christmas gifts for my daughter and granddaughters. I had to use smaller hooks than the pattern called for because I crochet very large apparently. The first pair will be going to someone with a bit larger foot! I bought the pattern here: https://www.anniescatalog.com/detail.html?code=886013&source=NBSSEMB

These slippers worked up quite quickly and are very simple. I'm going to be making more of them for Christmas. I got this as a free pattern several years ago and cannot find it anywhere online.
