ponytail hats December 2016

We barely have long enough hair for a ponytail! A friend asked if I could make one of these. I had seen one on facebook so looked up the pattern. There are a lot out there! This looked simple enough. The first try though I made the "adult" one and as you can see, it barely fits my 5 year old granddaughter! So I upped the needle size and added some rows and made the adult one. Then I made another one a bit smaller for my 8 year old granddaughter. They both love them and the ladies that their father works with want me to make some for their daughters. They were a project that piqued my interest since I'm feeling kind of blah about making Christmas gifts this year.

Baby Gift July 2016

I made this little "lovey" for a baby boy due in about 2 weeks.

I decided to make him a bigger blanket to match his lovey.

I made these totes for all of my Bible Study ladies. There were 10. I put a pen, notepad, and hand sanitizer in each one.

I thought all of these turned out great! Hulk is way larger than the others, but I think he is that way on purpose. I especially like Captain America, but really they all turned out good. I also made a Wonder Woman, but that was for a little girl for her birthday, these are for Christmas. This is the site that I got the patterns from. The author/creator had copyright issues and so she is offering these patterns for free. I made 4 pair of these boot slippers for Christmas gifts for my daughter and granddaughters. I had to use smaller hooks than the pattern called for because I crochet very large apparently. These slippers worked up quite quickly and are very simple. I'm going to be making more of them for Christmas. I got this as a free pattern several years ago and cannot find it anywhere online.

Batman Snuggle Buddy-October 2015

This is for a 2 year old little boy for Christmas. I thought he turned out pretty cute. I tried stuffing the neck better, but it still seems a bit wobbly to me. I don't know how to remedy that though because I stuffed and stuffed and stuffed some more! Anyway, he is still cute. The Batman emblem is made out of felt and glued onto the doll.

Wonder Woman Buddy

This is the finished doll. I enjoyed making her. I thought the hands were a bit hard to figure out, but eventually I managed to get them finished.

The hair was a challenge as well, but I think it turned out okay. A bit poufy, but it will work.

Apparently Disney told her that she could not sell the patterns so she is offering them free on her site. I picked up patterns for Thor, Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Captain America and this Wonder Woman. This one is for a little girl's birthday. When her mom saw these she showed them to all of her children and they all want one. I'll be making the boys each one for Christmas.
